Dr. Ekhosuehi Oghator is a senior lecturer and researcher with a background in development studies, research and practice, teaches health care policy, human resources in health care and strategic health care management in the graduate programmes in health care administration at the Institute of Public Administration and Extension Services, University of Benin. He was educated at the Universities of Nigeria, Nsukka and Benin where he earned Bachelors and graduate degrees respectively. He is the team leader/coordinator of the multi-disciplinary “Development and Policy Research Group” which research interests span healthy aging, life-long learning and elder care policy, poverty, inequality, unemployment and other development related issues. He is currently researching non-state actors in health care delivery for the elderly in developing economies. Dr. Oghator is well published both locally and internationally and has made regular appearances at professional cum academic conferences on gerontology, development over the life span, and wider development related field and discourses. He is a member of the University of Benin research and publication committee and holds membership of several professional associations which includes: Development Studies Association (U.K & Ireland); International Association for Community Development Association (U.K); Aoeterea Development Studies Network (New Zealand); Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (Nigeria) amongst others.
