Professor Sylvia Osayi Osemwenkha is a Professor of Medical Sociology and Health Management. She holds a B.Sc. in Nursing (2nd Class Upper Division) from the University of Ibadan. She also has a M.Sc. in Sociology and M.Ed. in Health Education both from the University of Ibadan. She has a Ph.D. in Development Sociology from the University of Benin.
She has written so many scholarly papers in Local and International Journals. In 2000, she got a Ford Foundation Research Grant on “Contraceptive use among School Age Adolescents in Edo State, Nigeria”.
She teaches Sociology and Philosophy of Health and Qualitative Research Methods to Masters and Ph.D. students in the Institute and in the Centre of Excellence in Reproductive Health Innovation (CERHI) respectively.
